Daycare Report Cards

Your pup will receive a report card each day filled with pictures and videos detailing his activity and behavioral habits while with us for the day so you know exactly what he was up to!

 Personal Care and Service

Our attentive staff will let you know how your pup enjoyed their day at the end of each stay. If they didn't enjoy a certain program, we'll help guide you to one that will better suit him. Their comfort comes first!

DAYCARE OR PLAYCARE?

SELECT AN OPTION TO SEE WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR YOU AND YOUR PUP.

Daycare dogs enjoy multiple playgroups during their stay with 2 to 8 dogs of like size and temperament assigned each day by Professional Daycare Managers. In between customized playgroups, each dog stays in the climate controlled boarding area of our facility for the day in their own space to unwind and relax after play!

WHO IS DAYCARE FOR?

Daycare is best for dogs who prefer smaller group-play with friends of similar temperament and play styles. It's a specialized program intended for dogs who are more selective with their dog friends or who prefer one-on-one exercise with a kennel technician. What's Up Dog's smaller facility enables us to create a unique and safe daycare experience for dogs of all temperaments by pairing them with other dogs who enjoy their company!

WHAT IF MY DOG DOESN'T ENJOY THE COMPANY OF OTHER DOGS?

For dogs who enjoy a playful outing, but do not enjoy the company of other dogs, we will provide a daycare attendant to individually play fetch, tug-of-war, or any other game your dog might enjoy instead for their daycare experience with us.

In this daytime program, pups will have free-roam indoor and outdoor play all day! After passing our temperament test, they'll get to hang out in our air conditioned indoor playroom as well as our turf yard equipped with water features to combat the hot Houston sun. Playcare consists of a group of 12 to 15 dogs of all kinds, supervised around the clock by one of our trained, dog-loving playcare technicians.

WHO IS PLAYCARE FOR?

Playcare is for dogs who are comfortable around large groups of dogs of all breeds and sizes. It's like kid's daycare, but for your dog! Playcare is best for dogs with solid socialization skills, reliable off-switches, and calmer play styles. Our playcare program does require a passed temperament test and for dogs to be spayed or neutered.

REQUIREMENTS, TEMPERAMENT TESTING, AND #ALLLLTHETHINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW.

happy dog at what's up dog Houston

REQUIREMENTS

All dogs must have up to date Bordetella, Parvo Distemper, and Rabies vaccinations and spayed/neutered.

All dogs be free of fleas and ticks. All pups are checked thoroughly for fleas and ticks upon check-in. If pets have fleas and/or ticks, they will be treated immediately at the owner’s expense before being allowed to enter.

TEMPERAMENT TESTING

A temperament test is a one-on-one evaluation with one of our trained daycare managers to see where your pup is most comfortable! During the test, your pup is introduced to a variety of dogs of different ages, play styles, breeds, and sizes. We evaluate their body language and social behavior to see whether they would be a better candidate in our daycare or playcare programs.

Daycare temperament tests are done on their first day of daycare (which is free) without the need to book an appointment. This allows us to learn more about your dog's personal play style and construct a personalized playgroup that your dog will thrive in! Our temperament tests for our playcare program are booked by appointment, but if you would prefer, you can schedule your temperament test during their stay in our regular daycare program. If your dog gets along with other dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, they would be a perfect fit in our playcare program.
